Refund Policy

This policy explains when and how you can obtain a refund on a VRGS licence purchased from VRGeoscience Limited. It forms part of our Terms and Conditions.
Try before you buy
Every VRGS licence is available as a free 30-day trial of the full application. We strongly recommend running the trial on your own data and hardware before purchasing, so you can confirm that VRGS does what you need it to do.
Our 14-day refund window
If a VRGS licence isn’t right for you, you may request a full refund within 14 calendar days of the date of purchase. You do not need to give a reason.
This applies whether you are buying as a consumer or on behalf of an organisation, and to every licence sold through this website:
- Non-Commercial licences
- 4-Year PhD licences
- Academic Departmental licences
- Commercial licences (Individual / Consultant, Small Enterprise and Large Enterprise)
What this policy does not cover
The following are quoted and contracted separately, and are governed by the terms agreed at the time rather than by this policy:
- Bespoke software development and custom feature work
- Data processing and data interpretation services
- Training courses, workshops and field courses
- Licences supplied under a bespoke quotation, purchase order or negotiated agreement
How to request a refund
Email support@vrgeoscience.com within the 14-day window, quoting the order reference on the receipt you received from Paddle. Tell us briefly what went wrong if you’d like us to help — we can often resolve licensing or installation problems the same day — but a refund does not depend on it.
You can also contact Paddle directly through their buyer portal at paddle.net using the email address you bought with.
How refunds are paid
Our payments and order processing are handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the merchant of record and reseller for every purchase made on this site. Approved refunds are issued by Paddle to the original payment method, normally within 3–10 business days of approval, depending on your bank or card issuer.
Any VAT or sales tax charged at checkout is refunded together with the licence fee.
What happens to your licence
When a refund is issued, the associated licence key is deactivated and you must stop using VRGS under that licence. VRGS reverts to viewer-only mode, so you can still open and view models and data you have already produced.
Faulty or misdescribed software
If VRGS is faulty, or does not do what we said it would, contact us at any time — not just within the 14-day window. We will work with you to repair or replace the software, and where we cannot, we will refund you. Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights.
Your statutory rights
If you are a consumer in the United Kingdom or the European Union, you normally have a statutory right to cancel a purchase of digital content within 14 days. That right can be lost once download or supply begins with your express consent. Because we grant the same 14-day window under this policy regardless, you are no worse off than the statutory position. Your legal rights in respect of faulty or misdescribed software are unaffected.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page at the time of your purchase is the one that applies to that purchase.
